Product Designer - Engineering - Tulsa, OK - 1 opening

Job Description:

Reports to the Manager of Engineering - Perform detailed Power Take Off (PTO), hydraulic reservoir and other component and assembly three-dimensional models and two-dimensional drawings at the direction of one of several product design engineers. Work with suppliers to optimize designs. Perform fundamental design analysis such as assembly tolerance stack ups. Establish dimensioning schemes consistent with product function and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create 3-dimensional models and 2-dimensional detail drawings of new product designs and current product design improvements
  • Define geometric tolerances and perform detailed tolerance stack up analyses
  • Generate bills of materials and engineering release documentation
  • Maintain accurate drawing files and bills of materials
  • Create product structures within the business operating computer system
  • Work within a Product Development Process & Engineering Work Request structure
  • Responsible for planning and organizing assignments to meet due dates
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Engineering

Requirements include:

  • Associate degree in drafting technology or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of applicable detail design experience
  • Proficient with three dimensional modeling and two-dimensional drawing software such as SolidWorks
  • Proficient at Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Experience with dimensioning and tolerancing of enclosed precision rotating shaft machinery involving heat treated gears, shafts, bearings, and splines
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Detail oriented and well organized
