Financial Analyst - Tulsa, OK - 1 opening

Job Description:

Responsibilities include compile and analyze a variety of financial information, develop integrated analysis, projections and presentations, identify trends and report findings to management, reconcile accounts, coordinate response for hardware and software needs, develop daily accounting activities, and assist in the month end closing process. Support the work of Inventory Analysts.

Duties:

  • Runs, reviews, and prepares variety of performance reports
  • Prepares Vendor Charge-backs as needed
  • Tracks Vendor Scrap and Recovery, including valuation of vendor zero invoices
  • Creates Sequel and Visual Basic Programs
  • Reviews and tracks inventory for discrepancies in costs and reporting
  • Keys changes in cost of materials
  • Performs cost rolls and verifies accuracy and completeness of cost roll
  • Reviews and analyzes various expenses and other accounting data
  • Audits and reconciles general ledger accounts
  • Writes monthly journal vouchers
  • Reviews petty cash balances monthly
  • Assists in automation of office functions
  • Resolves IT issues in conjunction with the IT department
  • Proposes changes for software and hardware related items
  • Performs varied clerical and technical work
  • Responsible for physical inventory preparations and activities
  • Provides support to Inventory Analysts
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Maintains close liaison with other departments when necessary
  • Constantly strives to meet or exceed company goals
  • Plans and schedules assigned activities to meet deadlines and due dates
  • Assists with maintenance of Cisco Phone Systems
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Accounting Manager ? Tulsa

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree preferred, in Accounting, Finance, or Computer Science/IT and a minimum of 3-5 years experience in accounting related area; education and/or experience in information technology/systems a plus
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and relational databases
  • Knowledge of sound accounting principles and their laws
  • Knowledge of and ability to recommend and implement accounting policies and procedures
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
  • Flexibility to effectively adapt to changing conditions and job assignments
