Value Stream Manager - Tulsa, OK -1 opening

Muncie Power Products, the industry leader in Power Take-Offs and mobile power components to the truck equipment industry has an immediate opening for a Value Stream Manager. In business since 1935, Muncie Power Products, Inc. is totally dedicated to the design, manufacture, marketing, and distribution of products that meet or exceed the industry's quality standards.

This position will be based in our Tulsa, Oklahoma location and will be responsible for leading the creation of future state value stream maps and the implementation plan for getting from current state to future state, monitoring and facilitating all phases of Lean implementation.

In addition, this position will visibly monitor the status and flow of the value stream daily, make implementation and continuous improvement a top priority and solve problems and break down barriers.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, be formally trained in the principles and methodology of Lean Enterprise.

Additional requirements include the capability to make change happen across functional and departmental boundaries. Must be flexible to perform a variety of assignments and adapt to changing conditions. Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed. Excellent communication skills; verbal and written. Able to make recommendations and effectively participate in the implementation of company policies and procedures. A persuasive speaker both to peers and superiors - has natural charisma. A visionary, positive person that can envision a lean future state for the organization. Hands-on, practical problem solving skills. Capable of building on his/her strengths as a facilitator, collaborator, and delegator. Organized, persistent, creative thinker, quick learner, team Player - understands people and how to work with them. Understands how business processes function and how to bridge the realities of today with the possibilities for tomorrow. Understands lean techniques and tools and how to apply them. Assists in the creation of performance metrics, reporting on improvement targets. Drives culture change to instill focus on fact-based management practices. Supports project teams in Lean activities by educating, coaching and mentoring others on process improvement philosophy, tools and application. Defines, plans and executes basic lean improvement activities without external support.

Some travel is also required.
