Bilingual Outside Sales Representative - Latin America - 1 opening

Muncie Power Products, a global manufacturer of PTO's and Fluid Power components, is seeking an energetic and accomplished sales professional. The ideal candidate must have a strong mechanical background and familiarity with the truck equipment industry, and a solid background in PTO's, mobile hydraulics, and field sales and service. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish both orally and in writing. Individual must travel throughout Mexico and Latin America. Job Description:

Reports to the Western District Sales Director. Administers, coordinates and implements all sales activities within a designated region. Conducts necessary training and public relations to support sales activities and customer acceptance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Travels throughout a designated region to promote, sell, and service company products
  • Plans own itinerary, schedules contacts with distributors and end users, and determines their needs
  • Develops a territorial marketing plan
  • Evaluates market penetration in the assigned region
  • Works from leads, market data, and customer inquiries
  • Performs routine, and non-routine, follow up visits
  • Submits account applications for credit evaluation
  • Assists in collecting bad debts
  • Takes and writes sales orders
  • Conducts product training classes
  • Assists distributors with merchandising, advertising, and sales strategies
  • Notifies technical service personnel of special or unique problems
  • Provides troubleshooting assistance to customers as needed
  • Keeps abreast of competitor activities in the region
  • Attends trades shows as needed
  • Uses company software, and sales programs
  • Assists with warranty evaluation and completion of warranty paperwork
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the District Sales Manager

Requirements include:

  • Associate degree, or certificate of completion, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or other applicable engineering or technical degree, or an Associate Degree in Business Administration, Management or Marketing, or a minimum of four years field sales and service experience with mobile equipment and components
  • Prefer knowledge of the heavy truck equipment industry
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
  • Must be willing to travel extensively
  • Ability to work well with others
