The Muncie STA-9020 Hydro-Throttle is an effective, inexpensive throttle advance well suited for many types of hydraulic systems. The Hydro-Throttle senses hydraulic system pressure and mechanically advances the engine to a predetermined RPM. The engine speed is then automatically returned to idle when the hydraulic pressure is released. The compact design of the Hydro-Throttle makes it adaptable to almost any gasoline or diesel engine.

(This product cannot be used with electronically controlled engines.)

Electronic engine controls have mostly done away with the need for mechanical throttle advance devices. However for older vehicles, or those without electronic controls, the STA-9020 remains an inexpensive, viable alternative to cables or solenoids.
