Powr-Pro and Power-Miser are "dry valve" pump systems designed primarily for refuse vehicles. Dry valve pump systems lower operating costs by drastically reducing horsepower draw in the "Off" mode, thus saving fuel. The Power-Miser utilizes a plunger-type dry valve, the Powr-Pro a butterfly style valve. These pumps are typically front-mounted and driven off of the engine crankshaft via a tubular shaft assembly. The Power-Miser and Powr-Pro dry valves are air actuated.

The Muncie SPD-1000A, System Protection Device, can be used in conjunction with both the Power-Miser and Powr-Pro pumps to protect hydraulic systems from damage due to overspeed conditions.
