Side Mount Tanks
Muncie Power offers side mount tanks in aluminum, steel, and polyethylene.
Aluminum and steel tanks feature multiple return ports and are designed for easy installation with welded mounting rails and punched holes. Both are suitable for intermittent or continuous-duty applications where significant heat is generated, or a metal tank is preferred. Aluminum tanks have a bright diamond plate with a mill finish and are available in 7- and 15-gallon capacities. Steel tanks range from 7 to 40 gallons.
Polyethylene side mount tanks are ideal for intermittent-duty applications where heat buildup is not a concern. Molded in one piece, these reservoirs are engineered to prevent leaks, stress cracks, and contamination from welding slag. Polyethylene tanks are available in 35- and 50-gallon capacities.
Muncie Power Products will implement a part number change for American Mobile Power standard hydraulic tanks. The company is moving to a consolidated, standardized part numbering system designed to make model code referencing and ordering more intuitive.
The part number change will be effective on July 1, 2026.

The Muncie Side Mount tank is warranted for one year from the time it is first installed upon the equipment against any defect in material and workmanship that causes the reservoir to fail to hold oil which existed when sold by Muncie, according to the following provisions, subject to the requirements that the reservoir must be used only in accordance with catalog and package instructions. If the defective part is returned to Muncie with transportation prepaid, the defective part will be repaired or replaced, at Muncie’s election.
The above warranties shall terminate if any alterations or repairs are made to the product other than at a service center owned by Muncie, or if the product is used on any equipment other than the equipment upon which it is first installed.
THE FOREGOING WARRANTIES ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS AND LIABILITIES, INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE AND ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND SUITABILITY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED AND STATE MUNCIE’S ENTIRE AND EXCLUSIVE LIABILITY AND BUYER’S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY CLAIM OF DAMAGES IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE, REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE ABOVE GOODS, THEIR DESIGN, INSTALLATION OR OPERATION. MUNCIE WILL IN NO EVENT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, AND OUR LIABILITY UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL EXCEED THE CONTRACT PRICE FOR THE GOODS FOR WHICH LIABILITY IS CLAIMED.
