Advantage+

REFERENCE ONLY - This product is no longer available. Replace with Omni System™ or Omni System™ Plus.

Muncie's Advantage+ snow and ice control system combines two new unique technologies to increase reliability and revolutionize the method in which snow and ice removal fleets are operated and maintained.

Our Wi-Fi powered real-time support link enables engineers to remotely view hydraulic system information and electronically adjust valves and system parameters to keep the truck on the road.

+ Real Time Support

All of the advantages of having factory support on-site in a matter of minutes. The Advantage+ is equipped with Wi-Fi and an App on its touch screen that connects your truck to Muncie engineers through a dedicated web server.

+ Cost Savings

Save Salt, Save Money: The Advantage Plus spreader controller can be operated in Manual and Auto Mode. Auto mode spreads material at a specified rate (Lbs. / mile) by referencing the ground speed of the truck.

Do More with Less: In addition to spreader operations, the Advantage+ controller can be used for Anti-Icing by simply toggling a button on one of the operating screens.

+ Better Technology

Smart Phone / Tablet App: An App is available for Android Devices. Supervisors can use the app to access and change system settings, view remote operations, and more. The app is beneficial for system setup, troubleshooting, and datalogging.

Sensor and Switches: The controller is compatible with a variety of switches and sensors that can be used as system inputs. These include body up switches, hot oil, low oil, cold oil, filter bypass, and Air & Road Temperature Sensors.

Status Indication: Critical system information is reported to the operator via the status bar. The system automatically detects and reports faults such as hot oil, low oil, cold oil, body up, open circuits, and more.

+ Data Logging

Fleet manager data-log report software provides organized reports with filtering capabilities for compiling information.  Utilizing Google Maps, there is an option to overlay the truck route to monitor where the truck has traveled, spreader rates and totals, and more.

+ Ergonomic Controls

Proportional Joystick: The dual Axis, multi-function joystick provides proportional (feathering) of cylinder operations.  The joystick can be configured to control a plow, hoist, scraper, wings, or more. The joystick has an integrated safely trigger to prevent unintended activation.

Easy to Operate Controls: The Advantage+ controls have been designed to be intuitive and easy for the operator. The control panel uses a vivid color touch screen that creates easily readable displays. System settings are easy to understand and adjustable from the touch screen.

Ergonomic Mounting Solution: The Advantage+ Control Solution occupies very little space within the cab. Therefore, a driver can position their controls accordingly, and still have room to shift and access controls located on the dash.

In addition, the controls are mounted to the seat, not the floor. This allows the controls to ride with the driver when traveling over rough terrain.

Backlighting: The backlighting of the touchscreen and buttons are adjustable to the operator. This insures that the controls are non-intrusive at night, and easy to see during extreme sunlight.

+ Rugged Design

Electrical Connectors: The Advantage Plus utilizes Deutsch and Weather Pack connectors to completely seal all electrical terminations. This prevents electrical failures due to corroded wires.

Rugged Tank Enclosures: Stainless or Powder Coated Enclosures

Compact Design: One centralized location on the truck houses the hydraulic valves, return line filter, clean out, electrical modules, and more. This makes servicing the system simple and easy.
