We are happy to report that we have zero new COVID-19 cases, thus we are continuing to make forward progress with easing some of the guidelines and practices surrounding our response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  In mid-May, we announced the decision to lift the mask requirement for fully vaccinated employees.  After careful analysis of the outcome of that change, in mid-June, carry-ins/potlucks and non-essential visitors were permitted.

The COVID-19 Action Team and the Associate Outreach Committee have discussed continuing that progress to lift restrictions, while keeping safety for our employees and their families top of mind.  After watching the situation closely, seeing a decrease in COVID-19 cases, and allowing for a sufficient opportunity for employees to get vaccinated, the COVID-19 Action Team and the Associate Outreach Committee made the decision to follow state and local rules.  This means we are lifting the mask requirement for all employees and visitors effective immediately.  However, because of our people first strategy, we may return to those restrictions previously implemented if we notice a significant rise in COVID-19 cases among our employee population.

We ask that all employees and visitors continue to follow these practices:

1. Have temperatures checked upon entering any Muncie Power Products facility.

2. Continue sanitizing work areas routinely.

3. Report to HR if you have COVID-19 symptoms and follow the guidelines in place.

Unvaccinated employees and visitors are encouraged to wear masks and practice physical distancing.

As some states and municipalities have not yet lifted their mask mandates, employees should continue to follow their state and local government guidelines.  Specifically, California requires unvaccinated individuals to wear a face covering in indoor facilities and workplaces; and therefore, non-vaccinated employees based in California still must wear face coverings while at work

If you have any concerns or questions regarding certain state guidelines or these changes, please speak with your supervisor or reach out to Human Resources.
