Reminder of Protocol When Experiencing COVID-19 Symptoms
August 13, 2021Reminder: Protocol When Experiencing COVID-19 Symptoms
- If exposed or experiencing symptoms, notify your supervisor and HR immediately; and consult your physician, medical provider, or OC24.
- Register for testing, particularly if symptoms are present or a member of your household tests positive. Be sure to consult with Human Resources before testing. How soon you should test depends on whether or not you are vaccinated.
- Note: rapid tests may have a degree of unreliability associated with them. As such, we may not be able to use those results to support a negative diagnosis.

COVID-19: Masks
July 12, 2021We are happy to report that we have zero new COVID-19 cases, thus we are continuing to make forward progress with easing some of the guidelines and practices surrounding our response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In mid-May, we announced the decision to lift the mask requirement for fully vaccinated employees. After careful analysis of the outcome of that change, in mid-June, carry-ins/potlucks and non-essential visitors were permitted.
-
Carry-Ins and Visitors
June 16, 2021It has been just about a month since we updated our guidelines regarding masks and social distancing for those who have been fully vaccinated. We appreciate your willingness to adhere to these changes and procedures.
We are happy to announce more good news. The COVID Action Team met this past week and continued to discuss areas in which we could advance our progress. Employee carry-ins/pot-lucks and non-essential visitors are no longer restricted beginning Monday, June 21.

Protocol for Employee Testing Positive for COVID-19
January 20, 2021As COVID-19 evolves and new developments occur, we continue to evaluate our policies and procedures accordingly. We work hard to evaluate all scenarios, including an instance when we learn that one of our co-workers tests positive for COVID-19.
Naturally, we will send home all employees who have had close contact of 15 minutes or more with that employee in order to pay attention to their health, and ensure the infection does not spread.
-
Mandatory Mask Policy
January 18, 2021As we navigate the beginning of 2021, we remain appreciative to everyone doing their best to keep our facilities and our people safe.
Positive cases of COVID-19 continue to be on the rise throughout the nation. There are two new virus strains which have shown to be 50% more contagious and could potentially make positive cases increase even more. These ongoing statistics force us to revisit our company’s guidelines. Masks are mandatory while working at Muncie Power Products. When you enter the building a mask is required in all common areas or any areas where you may interact with employees, customers or the public. In the plants, specifically the Tulsa and Muncie shops, a mask is required at all times while working unless you are in an individual office.

Reminder of Guidelines Regarding Non-Essential Visitors
November 04, 2020As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain a COVID safe workplace, and as a precaution against relaxed habits and practices, we are adding a daily reminder to our COVID communication tool box. Supervisors, please make this a part of your daily communication with your teams, especially those that do not have access to corporate e-mail. Additionally, if you have questions, thoughts, or suggestions, especially if you have observed an unsafe practice, please contact this office immediately.

COVID-19 REVISED SAFETY PROTOCOLS
November 03, 2020We want to take this opportunity to update you on recent decisions made regarding COVID-19 safety protocols. We have always said we listen to and hear our employees and will re-evaluate our policies regarding COVID-19. We have done this and feel we are now at a point to announce two (2) changes.
-
Failure to Wear Masks in the Workplace
August 31, 2020We recognize the continuing hardships, challenges and frustrations that remain with us since the beginning of the year. What is even more exasperating is that a solution or relief is not in clear sight. We understand that, completely.
However, simple solutions and safe practices are not unreasonable or difficult to adhere to. Unfortunately, many of us are unable or unwilling to keep our safe workplace guidelines in mind, keep the safety of our co-workers in mind, or comply with instructions that have been put in place to minimize exposure to hazards and, particularly, COVID-19.
