COVID-19 Update July 30, 2021
Since our last communication to you about the lift of our workplace mask requirement, the Associate Outreach Committee has been monitoring trends surrounding COVID-19 in areas where our facilities are located. In counties with the highest population of employees like Delaware County, Indiana (Muncie) and Tulsa County, Oklahoma (Tulsa), we have noticed an uptick of overall cases in those communities.
New Hospital Admissions (COVID) | New Cases | |
Tulsa County | Increase 24.10% | Increase 82.7% |
Delaware County | Increase 800% | Increase 41.67% |
We are also aware of an increase in employee COVID-19 cases.
Location | Total Number of Cases | Employees in Quarantine |
Muncie | 20 | 0 |
MDCs/Sales/Remote | 4 | 0 |
Tulsa | 52 | 6 |
AMP | 9 | 0 |
While we are not reinstating the workplace mask requirement at this time, we may be making the decision to return to it if the cases continue to trend upward. In areas where a majority of employees are vaccinated, the upward trend has not been noticed. We therefore restate our encouragement to those employees who have not received the vaccination to do so as soon as possible. The vaccines are widely available and free. Here is information about how to schedule in Tulsa and Muncie.

Oklahoma - https://www.tulsa-health.org/coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19/covid-19-vaccine
We must also remain vigilant about safe practices such as sanitizing and social distancing. COVID-19 has not gone away and in areas where a majority of the populations is not vaccinated, cases are on the rise. We urge you to get vaccinated for not only the safety of yourselves, but for that of all employees and their families.
