This morning, we were made aware of a situation that we needed to share with you. We just learned that an employee on our first shift in our Tulsa operation has received a report of testing positive for COVID-19. Although we are unable to share complete details related to the situation due to HIPPA and privacy regulations, we can share these details and facts.

The employee has not been in the facility since July 10, 2020. On July 11, 2020 the employee discovered they were exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19 and shortly after started to experience symptoms. We requested the employee be tested and to isolate until the results of the test were received. The employee received the test results this morning. The employee shared a list of employees they had been in contact with prior to July 11th and those employees are being notified.

COVID-19 Cases - Tulsa

August 04, 2020

July 31, 2020

Here is what we have done, and what we are preparing to do.

  • First, the employee will remain away from the facility until they are released by their physician to safely return to back to work.
  • The employee must receive a negative test result prior to returning back to work.
  • Our outside janitorial service has been continuing to sanitize the entire facility on a weekly basis.
  • We have made all employees that were in close proximity of this employee aware of this information. Due to the timeline and the fact the employee has already been out of the facility for three (3) weeks we a-e recommending that employees who had direct interaction contact their personal physician or OC24 to receive guidance on their next steps.
  • We have been in continual contact with this employee and will continue to request updates from their medical provider as it becomes available.

After another review of guidance and recommendation from the CDC and OSHA, we believe we have taken the appropriate steps in response to the incident. However, our next steps include further contact with the employee for an update, and a continuation of weekly sanitizing and disinfecting of all work areas. We will keep you updated on our progress and next steps.

In the meantime, please continue to follow protocol with the respect to hand washing, physical distancing, wearing face masks and other safety measures. Pay attention to your health, and contact your medical provider as you feel necessary. Feel free to contact me or any member of management with questions or concerns.
