COVID-19 Positive Case - Tulsa
This afternoon, we were made aware of a situation that we needed to share with you. We have learned that an employee on our first shift in our Tulsa operation has received a report of testing positive for COVID-19. Although we are unable to share complete details related to the situation due to HIPPA and privacy regulations, we can share these details and facts.
The employee has not been in the facility since the afternoon of September 22, 2020. We learned they were exposed to ta 3rd party on the evening of September 22, 2020, who had tested positive for COVID-19. The employee has not been in our facility since the exposure.
Here is what we have done, and what we are preparing to do:
- First, the employee will remain away from the facility until they are released by their physician to safely return to work.
- We contacted the employee and determined they had no exposure to our employees.
- We have requested guidance and additional updates from their medical provider as it becomes available.
After review of guidance and recommendation from the CDC and OSHA, we believe we have taken the appropriate steps in response to this incident. However, our next steps include further contact with the employee for an update. We will keep you updated on our progress and next steps.
In the meantime, please continue to follow protocol with the respect to hand washing, physical distancing, wearing face masks/coverings and other safety measures. Pay attention to your health, and contact your medical provider as you feel necessary. Feel free to contact me or any member of management with questions or concerns.
