Reminder of Guidelines Regarding Non-Essential Visitors

November 04, 2020

As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain a COVID safe workplace, and as a precaution against relaxed habits and practices, we are adding a daily reminder to our COVID communication tool box. Supervisors, please make this a part of your daily communication with your teams, especially those that do not have access to corporate e-mail. Additionally, if you have questions, thoughts, or suggestions, especially if you have observed an unsafe practice, please contact this office immediately.

Non-Essential Visitors: Recently, we have had several concerns related to non-essential visitors in our facilities. As a reminder, non-essential visitors are NOT permitted at or inside any Muncie Power Products building, facility, warehouse or operation. This is regardless of the time spent at the facility, or the explained purpose. A non-essential visitor has been defined as someone who does not have a requirement to visit a Muncie Power Products, American Mobile Power, or any affiliated facility based on the elevated risks associated with the Covid-19 virus. This INCLUDES, family members, retirees or former employees, friends, or anyone else without a previously scheduled appointment or other business need. Along the same lines, any person identified as an essential visitor, or having a necessary business need to be at our facilities, must wear a mask at all times, and adhere to our Guidelines and Plans for Maintaining Safe Workplaces. If you have any questions or need to discuss, do not hesitate to contact this office.
